The Surrey Cyber Security Cluster is proud to announce that our Director, Hani Momeninia, has been selected one of the Coaches of the UK Cyber Team, set to compete on the international stage in Poland in October 2025.
This prestigious appointment follows a national competition delivered by SANS, in partnership with DSIT, where over 1,300 young cyber talents (aged 18–25) battled through three rounds of Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges in Phase 1 of the UK Cyber Team Programme. The top 30 players earned a place on the UK Cyber Team — representing the very best of the nation’s next generation of cyber security professionals.
Hani brings a wealth of experience to the role:

✔ Founder of Invest Cyber
✔ Renowned cybersecurity instructor, public speaker, and mentor
As coach, Hani will lead the team’s training and development, preparing them to face top international teams in one of the most competitive cyber events globally. His commitment to advancing cyber skills, mentoring emerging talent, and promoting excellence in the industry makes this appointment truly well-deserved.
