We are pleased to announce that the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster has officially joined CyberFirst as a member.
CyberFirst, run by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), is a nationwide programme designed to identify and nurture a diverse range of talented young people into a career in cyber security. The initiative offers a broad range of activities and opportunities for individuals and organisations to get involved in shaping the next generation of cyber professionals.
Membership of CyberFirst is free and comes with access to a variety of ways to participate, including:
-
Bursary Scheme – Financially supporting undergraduates through university, with the opportunity to host a bursary student for an 8–12 week summer placement.
-
Graduate Recruitment – Advertising graduate roles with CyberFirst to reach a pool of skilled young candidates.
-
Events and Sponsorship – Attending and sponsoring CyberFirst events across the UK.
-
Community Engagement – Taking part in local CyberFirst partnerships, becoming a guest speaker, and mentoring students interested in cyber careers.
The programme also provides members with access to the CyberFirst brand and logo for promotional use, in line with the brand guidelines.
Joining CyberFirst is straightforward — it involves signing the membership letter and trademark licence, which all members complete.
As members, the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster looks forward to contributing to this dynamic network, supporting the development of future cyber talent, and promoting cyber skills across our region.
