The Surrey Cyber Security Cluster is delighted to announce an exciting new chapter in our journey to empower women in the cybersecurity sector. On 20th August 2025, Women in Cyber Unlimited (WICU) and the Surrey Cyber Security Cluster formally entered into an agreement to collaborate and strengthen opportunities for women and allies in the field of cybersecurity.
Why This Partnership Matters
Cybersecurity is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, yet women remain underrepresented. At WICU, the mission is clear:
“To provide networking opportunities for women working, or hoping to work, in the cyber security sector. To strengthen the voice of women and allies through joint representation, to promote inclusive communities and help facilitate professional development.”
By establishing Surrey as a regional chapter, this partnership will create new pathways for connection, collaboration, and growth at a local level—while ensuring alignment with our wider mission of inclusivity and representation across the UK and beyond.
The Surrey Cyber Security Cluster will lead on:
- Planning and delivering local events
- Building partnerships and collaborations within Surrey and the wider region
- Securing sponsorships and funding to support community growth
The chapter will remain a not-for-profit initiative, committed to fostering meaningful impact rather than financial gain.
